

Paula is the owner of Paula's Fine Jewelry, a full service family jewelry store specializing in jewelry, keepsakes and gifts for the whole family, located in Chester. Paula is an avid community supporter of numerous philanthropic events including Adopt-A-Bear, the Bosom Buddy Ball, the Wet-N-Wild Auction of the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center, the Black Tie White Boots Affair of the Queen Anne's Chamber of Commerce and the Nickelby Project. In addition, Paula's Fine Jewelry is a Business of Character for the Queen Anne's County Character Counts program. Ms. Warner is a member of the Chesapeake Women's Network, Queen Anne's County Chamber of Commerce, Business Queen Anne's and the Republican Women of Queen Anne's County.
Her professional memberships include the Jewelers of America and the Retail Jewelers Organization. Paula has earned a graduate diploma in diamonds from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) where she also completed extesive studies in colored gemstones. Ms. Warner is currently completing her graduate gemologist diploma program at GIA. "As a businesswoman and member of this community I believe that finding time to give back to strengthen our community is essential. I look forward to lending my support to the United Way," says Ms. Warner.

As the owner of Chesapeake Investment Planning, Todd Wilhoit provides his individual and business clients with quality, personal and professional financial planning advice, investment management, and insurance planning services. Todd has worked in the finance industry for more than 10 years and is passionate about helping individuals develop a pathway to financial security now and for the future.
Todd is a Certified Retirement Planning Counselor as well as a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. He resides in Stevensville, Maryland with his wife and son where he is an active contributor to building small business in the community.

Diana Waterman is the Financial Records Manager with Coldwell Banker Waterman Realty, so it is a perfect fit to have Diana as the Treasurer. She lives in Queenstown with her husband, Barry, and daughter Caty. Her son, Kevin, and his wife, Reina, also live in Queen Anne’s County.
Diana keeps busy as the 1st Vice President of the Maryland Federation of Republican Women and is a member of the Queen Anne's County Republican Central Committee. She is also a member of the Chesapeake Women’s Network and the QAC Chamber of Commerce.
She also loves to read and play with their four dogs...in her "free" time! Mrs. Waterman has a special place in her heart for the Girl Scouts as she was a part of the organization most of her life and looks forward to working with them as a United Way agency.

Gail Ruppe is a Relationship Manager with Heartland Payment Systems, a leading payments technology company. Twenty years of accomplishments as a marketing and sales professional is a result of her creative energy and team leadership skills. She is the consummate networker and continues to build on an already wide scope of contacts.
Gail is serving her second term with United Way and is the Blooms for United Way Chair. She is a past board member for AA CASA, CASA QA/Kent Counties, Entrepreneurs Exchange, Chesapeake Womens Network and QAC Arts Council. She is a member of the QAC Chamber, Baltimore Washington Corridor Chamber, West County Chamber, MD Hotel & Lodging Association, and is the CBEC Wet & Wild Auction Chair.
She also serves on the Executive Board and is an Ambassador for BNI. Active in local community outreach, she is experienced in fundraising to support their causes. Gail resides in Tower Gardens with her husband Jack and son Timothy. She is a Master Gardener of QAC, loves to garden, play golf and go cruising.

Carllene is serving her second tern with the United Way and it didn't take long for her to step into the position of President. With her motivation and her background in banking, it is a perfect fit! Carllene is the Branch Manager of the BankAnnapolis on Kent Island and is committed to giving back to the community. She serves on the Chamber of Commerce board, and is the Treasurer for the Chesapeake Women's Network and heads up the Hospice of Queen Anne's Golf Tournament. She has brought new energy to the United Way and we are excited to see what holds with Carllene on board!

Art Potts grew up in Queen Anne’s County and is no stranger to serving on a board of directors! Over the years he has served the QAC Chamber of Commerce not only as a board member but working on their Waterman’s Festival and Rockfish Tournament. “Pottsie” is also a past commodore with the Kent Island Yacht Club and was the Vice President of the IOBG (International Order of the Blue Gavel) which recognizes Past Commodores of the international yachting community.
While Art and his wife, Lenda, live in Grasonville, they spend their winters in Florida. When they migrate north after the spring thaw, you can find Pottsie on a golf course. He has already taken the reigns as the Chairman for this year’s United Way Golf Tournament which is scheduled for June 2nd at Queenstown Harbor Golf Course. Art certainly likes to hit the ground running when he serves on a board!

Andrew Read received his BS in Accounting from the University of Delaware in 1998 and is a Certified Public Accountant with Deloitte & Touche. A Maryland native, he moved to Queen Anne’s County in 2004. He and his wife Heather are active in the community through youth sports while raising their three children.
ndrew’s desire to be even more active in his community led him to the United Way and we are thrilled to have someone with his knowledge of business and finance and look forward to utilizing his strengths and creating a long term partnership while he serves on the board!

Merry Tobin, a Realtor and co-owner of Chesapeake Real Estate Associates, LLC, in Chester, resides in Stevensville with her husband, Patrick. In addition to the United Way of Queen Anne's County, she currently serves on the Board of Directors for the following organizations: Queen Anne's County Chamber of Commerce, Bay Area Association of Realtors, Chesapeake Women's Network, and the Chesapeake Bay Entironmental Center.
She is a 2008 graduate of Shore Leadership and the Maryland Association of Realtors Leadership Academy. Merry and her husband also operate an antique business in Galena. They have one son who resides in Boulder, Colorado.

Angie Price, editor of the Bay Times, is coming back to the board after taking a year off. Price served previously on the board and has volunteered for a varitey of United Way committees and projects in the past. She has been editor of Kent Islands local newspaper, the Bay Times, for 16 years. She is active in the community and believes all the United way member agencies are important communtiy assets that deserve our support.
Price is also a member of the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department Advisory Council, a longtime media representative on the Queen Anne's county local Emergency Planning Committee and has served more than 10 years on the Queen Anne's County Council for Children and Youth. She is married to Roger and they have two children Sararh, 16 and Abby 9.

Lifelong resident of Queen Anne’s County, Chad Helfenbein comes from a family of philanthropists starting with his father, Tom, who is one of the original board members of the local United Way. Helfenbein has served on many non-profit boards such as the Queen Anne’s County Chamber of Commerce and the Kent Island Rotary Club and is a director of the family owned Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Homes. He lives on Kent Island with his wife and children.

Rev. Janet Rochester bring a north county voice back to the board she lives in Church Hill. She is a past president for the Church Hill Town Commission, a life member of the Queen Anne's County Commission on Aging, belongs to the NAACP, serves on the MLK Committee, and coordinates the Angel Food Ministry just to name a few of the many board and volunteer activities with which she is involved.

Andrew Langer is the president of the Institute for Liberty, an advocacy organization dedicated to defending the rights of individuals to pursue the American dream. According to Langer, he has a “passionate commitment to public service and a desire to help those in need.” He lives in Centreville with his wife, Lt. Colonel Janice Langer and their two children and he is eager to get more involved in the community.

Neil Bourdelaise is a Sales Manager and Top Producer for Metlife Home Loans and has been in the mortgage banking industry for 9 years. He graduated from Roanoke College in Virginia with a Bachelors of Business Administration. While he is a long time resident of Maryland, he and his wife recently bought a home in Grasonville and they love the Eastern Shore.
Neil feels his positive outlook and communication skills will be a great asset to the United Way of Queen Anne’s County and his excitement to get involved in the community has already led him to serve on the United Way Golf Tournament Committee. The board is thrilled to have him and look forward to more great things from Mr. Bourdelaise!

Kate Twigg and her husband recently moved to Kent Island. With a strong belief in community service, once voted to the board, she immediately already agreed to co-Chair the “Bloom’s for United Way” event held each spring. She is also currently serving on the Board of “Maryland’s Fight Against Cancer” with United Way Vice President, Todd Wilhoit.
Mrs. Twigg works in Annapolis for Chesapeake Benefits, Inc. as an employee benefits broker. The United Way is happy to welcome Kate to the board!

Former United Way Chair Francis Roudiez brings with him a wealth of knowledge regarding non-profits and fundraising as he is active with the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department and has served on the Chamber of Commerce and Lions Club of Kent Island boards.
Mr. Roudiez owns Healthcare Brokerage Services and lives on Kent Island. We know that Francis will not hesitate to get involved and find his niche at the United Way and we look forward to his support!

A native of the Boston area who has lived on Kent Island for the past 9 years, Susan brings to the board a varied professional background including work as an accountant, a real estate broker and a court reporter in a number of states and jurisdictions. Happily retired from these pursuits, she recently opened the Island Yarn Boutique on Kent Island where she teaches knitting and shares her creative side with fellow fiber enthusiasts.
Susan’s service on non-profit boards includes the Quincy Crisis Center and Father Bill’s Homeless Shelter in the Boston area. She also served as a sub-committee chair of the United Way of MA Bay Health and Rehabilitation Allocation Committee, was a co-founder of the MA Court Reporters’ Association and was a volunteer counselor to battered women and children at Dove, Inc. a women’s shelter.
Since moving to Kent Island she has been an employee and supporter of the Kent Island Federation of Art and an active supporter and fund raiser for the Animal Resource Foundation. She is pleased to lend her support to the United Way in Queen Anne’s County where she plans to reside for many years with her husband and various dogs.

Sandra owns "Sandra's Office Support" and the United Way of Queen Anne's County is one of her clients. She has a background that includes book keeping, event planning, and is very familiar with non-profits. (She worked 6 years for the local Chamber of Commerce and the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department is another client of hers.)
Sandra is a member of the Chesapeake Women's Network and is a Past President. In her spare time, Sandra likes to be with her family. She has two sons, Harry and Tyler, and has been married to her husband, Harry for 20+ years.
